The $350 million Overlake Village project includes two light rail stations a freeway crossing pedestrian bridge linking to the Microsoft Campus and the 2.6 miles East link light rail extension opening in 2023 that will connect it by rail to the region. It also enjoys unparalleled proximity to world leaders in software and digital media. Overlake Village is the third largest employment center in the Puget Sound region, with about 46,000 jobs and a mix of office, commercial and residential land uses.
The neighborhood is an important hub of activity on the Eastside, with immediate access to and from SR-520 and public transit service to Downtown Redmond, Downtown Bellevue, UW and Seattle. Redmond has adopted an ambitious vision to enhance these assets by making plans to accommodate significant urban growth in the Overlake area.
When East Link light rail opens in 2023 there will be multiple ways to access the stations, including:Walking and biking: Redmond stations include pedestrian-bicycle bridges over SR 520 to help people conveniently access the stations, including using the 520 Trail. Transit: bus transit will be restructured in advance of light rail opening to make it easier to access East Link
In addition, the Overlake Park-and-Ride on 152nd Ave NE is located about a six-minute walk from the Overlake Village station.
