Shenzhen Shekou Waterfront

The urban design master plan functions as a strategy to optimize fishery operations, port management, site resilience, and quality of life issues for urban residents while celebrating fishing culture and enhancing water quality for the larger Shenzhen Bay and more locally the Shekou Fishing Port. The plan prioritizes fishery production capacity and upgrades fishing port facilities. Through separation of leisure and fishing production, as well as pedestrians and vehicles, traffic conditions in the area generate greater safety, accessibility, comfort and environment. The plan looks at fishing port functions and circulation patterns to ensure standardized and orderly operations, as well as entry-exit management of the fishing port are first and foremost considered.
